| Jordan's government signs MoU with Russian company |

| The government on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a Russian company to study the possibility of oil shale exploration. Under the two-year MoU, the Russian company will carry out a prospecting programme and prepare feasibility and technical studies in the area of Bayer in the southern part of the Kingdom. The two sides agreed to sign a commercial agreement if studies prove that commercial oil production is possible. |
