The meeting of Chairman of Organizing Committee of Russian industrial exhibition EXPO-RUSSIA D. R. Vartanov and director of exhibition S.A. Zabelina with Minister of Finance of Jordan Hamed Al-Kasasbeh was held inAmman, on January 11. Issues of implementation of the Russian Federation Government Decree No. 803, dated November 1, 2008 about state support of industrial exports (goods, works, and services) were discussed during the meeting; Jordan is included in confirmed list of states with guaranteed support of industrial export in 2008 – 2010. Annual limit guaranteed amount for Jordan is USD 500 millions. Ministry of Finance of Jordan will try its best to assist the Russian exhibition in Amman; it is ready to consider interesting projects proposed by Russian companies in under this decree. Minister of Finance of Jordan approved his participation on exhibition opening ceremony, March 18, Hotel Le Royal; he also presented to steering committee silver and gold medals representing Jordan national currency (dinar).

The meeting of representatives of Organizing Committee of Russian industrial exhibition EXPO-RUSSIA with Minister of Industry of Jordan Amer Al Hadidi was held in Amman, on January 12. Chairman of organizing committee of Russian Industrial Exhibition EXPO-RUSSIA D.R. Vartanov acknowledged Ministry of Industry and Trade of Jordan for yearly support of the exhibition and active participation in it. Minister approved his participation on exhibition opening ceremony, March 18, Hotel Le Royal. Minister approved his interest in cooperation with Russian businesspeople. Organizing Committee provided Ministry the materials about Russian exhibition participants to set purpose oriented contacts with Jordan businesspeople and to implement the Decree about Russian export support.

The meeting of Chairman of organizing committee of Russian industrial exhibition EXPO-RUSSIA D.R. Vartanov and director of exhibition S.A. Zabelina with Secretary General of Jordan Chamber of Commerce and President of Aqaba Chamber of Commerce Nael Al-Kabariti was held in Amman, on January 10.

Issues about Expo-Russia exhibition preparation and conduction were discussed. Agreement about presentation of Jordan industrial companies, Jordan investment projects, and Aqaba free economic zones was obtained during conference “Russia-Jordan economic cooperation”. Jordan Chamber of Commerce and Aqaba Chamber of Commerce will try their best to invite officials and businesspeople to the exhibition.

Minister of Finance, Minister of Industry and Trade, and Directory of Chambers of Commerce of Jordan are interested in development of economical cooperation with Russia; they confirmed their participation in preparation and conducting of Russian Industrial Exhibition EXPO-RUSSIA.

Agreements on continuation and improvement of cooperation and official support of exhibition EXPO-RUSSIA were obtained; patterns of cooperation with Jordan Ministries for promoting Russian export to Jordan were drawn up.
