  On Behalf of Jordan Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and myself, I would like to welcome all participants and guests of Expo-Russia Jordan – affirming the importance of this Expo in improving the trade relations between the two countries, providing cooperation opportunities, joint promotion and marketing, and boosting collaboration between businessmen and the private sector representatives in the two countries.

   First I want to begin by extolling the continued initiatives taken by the consolidated partnership between the Russian Federation and  the Hashemite kingdom of Jordan to enhance the trade relations and cooperation between the two countries emphasized by the exerted efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah the second, and His Excellency the Russian President Mr. Dimitry Medvedev  to strengthen and develop all economical and trade relations between the two countries.

  Reflecting on those efforts were the consecutive visits of His Majesty King Abdullah the second toMoscow in last few year which have contributed positively and fruitfully in the construction of bilateral relations.  Where as The Russian-Jordanian Business Council has provided a strong motive to strengthen and consolidate relations between the two countries, and constituted a solid element for establishing relations between the private sector companies, businessmen, investors and in providing the businessmen with an opportunity to know each other and find out about the Jordanian economy and products on ground along with trade potentials, leading to opportunities of joint interest. 

  The JOCC participation in the organization of Expo- Russia is intended to promote and introduce activities that enhance bilateral trade, investment opportunities, to identify the prevailing investment climate, and facilitate meetings between businessmen and investors of both countries by encouraging the development and upgrading of investment ideas, attracting a number of Jordanian business owners in different sectors and helping them by means of gatherings and meetings for the purpose of exchanging experiences and ideas, and for the purpose of enhancing and reinforcing  trade networking between the two counterparts.

  To conclude I would like to express my warmest regards to all who put the effort to make this expo a success and to stress that we shall mutually co-operate and do the utmost to strengthen trade relations and other fields serving our bilateral trade agreement, and that we shall jointly work towards the expansion and development of our members’ reciprocal ties and investments in all economic fields so as to achieve our common interests.
